A Member Ever Since

Community Events Firsts Staff Visitors

After attending the 24-hour opening event, Lisa Key became a member on the spot.

I was just a new arts-oriented person in Chicago and I had heard about this great opening. So I went in and participated in the 24-hour celebration. I was not there for 24 hours, but I participated. And from that point—what was that now, 20 years ago?—have always followed, always been a member. I became a member at that visit and I had always kept up my membership and stayed involved. And then, ultimately, worked at the museum 10 years later.
