The Role of the Museum
Beatrice C. Mayer speaks about the museum's task to educate the public.
I still think we have a job to do keep educating the public about: What is contemporary art? Who are the artists? What are their styles? And through our education activities, in which Robbie [Mayer] was so involved, I think we continue to expand the public's knowledge about contemporary art, the programs we have, the visiting artists we've had. And the public has responded very positively to our efforts.
