A Whole New Art World
The MCA's first exhibitions introduced contemporary art to many Chicagoans and contemporary art collectors to Chicago's established art world.
I think that it was an introduction for many of our friends and families to the whole world of contemporary art and, of course, the artists who participated in the exhibition. I think it was like an opening of a whole chapter of contemporary art to the Chicago community.
