Connecting Artists from Different Networks
Jeremy sees his own artistic community represented at the MCA and is able to expose young people to that community, along with world-renowned artists.
I get to see my peers, people that I know, artists in the community have access to the MCA as a platform through the Tuesday evening programs. And then I've got to expose young people to that, as well.
It shows them that they can share the stage with the – with those international, world-renowned artists. And that the MCA as a Chicago institution values those things equally. If they value local artists with their programming and likewise commits to showing world-class artists, it sort of collapses the distinction between those two things. And that is an inspiring thing, I think, for young people and adults alike.
