The Richness of Art

Collection Exhibitions Founders Visitors

Newness doesn’t equal quality: it may be good, it may not.

The audience should see the new, yes. But see the new and the old. "New" changes, "old" changes somewhat. And that's the richness of art. You can't just say, "It's new. It's good." It's new, it may be good, and it may not. We want to see it. And maybe we'll enjoy it more later, or maybe we won't.
