For the People
A museum that prioritizes inclusion presents a breadth of artwork that reflects the relevant issues of today.
This whole idea of being inclusive really means making sure that we are bringing in and embracing people who may have alternate points of view. Not always from a political standpoint, although we've had our share of political issues, if I may use that term, over the years. But providing people with a chance to look at art, and know that art as a contemporary theme speaks to what's happening today, which out of necessity means if there are issues happening in the general public in the community, they're going to show up in the work. So, we've tried to be smart about that, and I think the best is yet to come.
